Tonight, I attended a concert by the Chongshin Concert Choir from Korea, in Richardson. I was impressed by the choir voice: clear, pure, together, echoing,just like one person singing. I admired the conductor, Kisun Lee, who had a firm cuing gesture and a fluent motion for the melody line. The dynamics were unlimited under his hands with a breadth of expression ranging from the sound of thunder to the huming of the wind. The important thing is they had the same heart to sing all together, which is the rule of thumb for a choir. They sprinkled each piece with some good ideas , like bongo, tringle, small bell, and comic body language, which always brought audience delighted laughter. It was definately a dedicate concert.
